Firefighters battled a multiple-alarm blaze believed to have began within the midday hour Tuesday at an insurance coverage enterprise in Ancaster, Ont.
Hamilton fireplace reported heavy smoke from the basement of a one storey constructing within the 200 block of Wilson Road East simply south of Sulphur Springs Street.
“As a result of aggressive nature of the fireplace … and unfold to the principle flooring and attic space, crews inside had been pulled out and exterior firefighting operations had been deployed,” chief Dave Cunliffe revealed in an e mail.
“Throughout the course of firefighting operations the alarm was improve to a 3rd alarm, bringing further sources from throughout the town to the scene.”

Cunliffe mentioned over 50 firefighters had been there through the peak of the blaze.
